Tawas Point Birding Festival takes place over a four day period, May 17-20, featuring guest speakers, field trips, and a banquet. Offering over 300+ species throughout the Point including the Kirtland's Warbler. Enjoy bird sighting hikes around the park and point, as well as , a museum store by the lighhouse that offers many birding items. There are presentations from birding experts each day, a tent full of natural conservation and biding displays with experts to answer questions, and the local Iosco Audubon Society will also be giving birding tours of Tawas Point and other habitats; Tuttle Marsh and Clarks Marsh.
May 26th-27th
Tawas Area Chamber host the 20th Annual Memorial Arts and Craft Show on Saturday May 26th from 10am-6pm and on Sunday, May 27th from 10am-4pm at Tawas City Park. Over 100 booths with a variety of crafters. For more information contact the Tawas Area Chamber at www.tawas.com or 989-362-8643.

The festival is Saturday, June 2, 2012 from 10:00 until 6:00. We will have a night fly if there is any wind.
Our festival is all about family fun and KIDS. There will be kite give aways and free kite making for all
the kids. We will have candy drops for different age groups.
There will be huge kites flying, little kites flying and some in between.

A LITTLE ABOUT MYSELF:
I was born and raised in Saginaw and our Family had a cabin on Loon Lake. My mom decided that city life was not appealing any more so we moved to the cabin when I was in the 9th grade. Since then I traveled the world- Lived in Germany for 3 years, been to Budapest, Switzerland, Poland, Bavaria, Trier, Austria. Even though I have seen the most beautiful places I keep coming back to the Tawas area. Once you stay you never want to leave.
I also have a wonderful Family- My husband Chris, My 2 daughters, Amanda and Lorren,my 7 year old(Wow! I cant believe it)! old son,Trevor, and our new additions my 3 Grandsons Robby, Bryce and Garret. We also have DIO (AKA Dum Dum) our Black Lab,Henry the African Grey,Richard Noggin the cat.
